Toddlers, 2’s and 3-5’s Teacher
Elise Knox is a passionate early childhood specialist who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and recently advanced her practice by earning a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a K–5 teaching certification. For the past nine years, Elise has proudly anchored the classroom community at Wallingford Co-op Preschool, bringing a decade of early learning expertise to our families.
In her classroom, Elise implements a teaching philosophy that balances child-centered exploration with intentional instruction. She specializes in designing routine-rich environments where early literacy, math, and social-emotional concepts are systematically built into both purposeful play and collaborative circle times. Whether facilitating interactive group meetings or scaffolding individual exploration, Elise turns daily routines into rich academic and social discoveries, building comprehensive school readiness in an atmosphere of joy and collaboration. She is proud to partner with our families to cultivate a warm, equitable community where every young learner feels safe, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
